last week it was three years since my farmor passed away.
i miss her.
she was such an amazing woman and grandmother.
there are often things i wish i could share with her or talk to her about.
i am blessed to have had her in my life for as long as i did and so thrilled that she had a chance to meet michael as well.

ReplyDeleteTak Signe. Jeg savner hende utroligt ogsaa. En helt fantastisk kvinde og mor og et stort forbillede i hvad det betyder at vaere en efterfoelger af Jesus.
ReplyDeleteSigne, I am so happy to have stumbled upon your blog. And thrilled because I feel like I am nearer to discovering a way to make a lighter loaf of Danish bread. My family lived in Denmark for a year and ever since we have been back in the states, we have missed the bread and yogurt. I have been trying to develop a light rye bread like the Slesviger Bondebrød I would buy in the stores in Denmark, but have not been successful. I, like you, recently began milling my own flour and love using recipes measured in grams. Can you help at all? Please email me at abisaves@hotmail.com with any tips or recipes that you may have. Also, have you tried making homemade yogurt like the kind they have in Denmark?
ReplyDeleteHello. So glad you found my blog. Denmark does have yummy bread and yogurt. I don't know if you saw my Danish rye bread on the grainmill wagon http://www.grainmillwagon.com/danish-rye-bread/. It isn't light, but it does taste like Danish Rye Bread. I haven't tried making Danish yogurt yet - but I have found that I can control the consistency of the yogurt using the yogurt maker I have http://ourcarlsonlife.blogspot.com/2011/08/making-organic-yogurt.html
ReplyDeleteAs I come across some recipes I will pass them on. Thanks for checking out my blog.
